NeuroNest is committed to making its online spaces, courses, and digital resources accessible to all users, including autistic, ADHD, and disabled visitors.

 

1. Our Commitment

We design and deliver all content with accessibility and neurodivergent inclusion at the core. Our aim is to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA standards and the UK Equality Act 2010.

 

2. Accessibility Features

 

  • Readable design: high-contrast colour palette based on the NeuroNest brand, simple verdana fonts, and clear spacing.

  • Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements can be accessed without a mouse

  • Alternative text: all images and icons include meaningful alt text.

  • Captions and transcripts: all videos and audio content include captions or written transcripts. Screen-reader compatibility: site tested using major screen-reader software (NVDA, VoiceOver).

  • Neurodivergent-friendly layouts: reduced visual clutter, consistent navigation, optional dark/light mode, and calm colour tones.

 

3. Content Design for Neurodivergent Learners

Our courses and materials use evidence-based accessibility principles drawn from educational psychology and universal design for learning (UDL):

  • Short text blocks and plain language.Icons and visuals that reinforce meaning.

  • Downloadable PDFs and editable versions of all tools.

  • Audio + text formats for each lesson.

  • Predictable structure and clear module progression.

 

4. Continuous Improvement

We regularly test our site with neurodivergent users and update content for better usability.
